Maxine Poem by Francis Duggan

Maxine

Rating: 5.0

To help other people willingly inclined
Maxine in her eighties so caring and kind
The young at heart never do feel old
The life stories of people like her ought to be told
To live as a good person her claim to renown
Maxine is well loved on her side of the town
Silver gray hair to her shoulders she is ageing with grace
She always does have a big smile on her face
So down to earth in her ways and free of guile
Maxine never does find it hard for to smile
A great grandmother her husnand long deceased she lives on her own
Over the years her friends and admirers in numbers have grown
Maxine such a beautiful person for to meet
She even carries joy with her when walking the street.
