May Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

May

The trees have put on their green cloaks.
Gentle gusts sway the branches of the oaks.
Disposition is soothed by the refreshing air.
The cooling shade is perfect for a lawn chair.

Freshly mowed grass smells great, as I sneeze.
Lilac clusters are pleasantly purple and please…
Their scent is intoxicating and attracts the bees.
Lilies of the valley ring their bells in the breeze.

The skies have clouded over with a gray ceiling.
Surprisingly, it’s not gloomy; it’s very appealing.
The gently rain offers inspiring reassurance…
It promises vegetation life giving insurance.
