I wish you could have seen what I have seen,
For us to've walked there hand in hand, by each
And every street and window in between
To gaze at objects just beyond our reach.
I wish you could have seen what I have seen:
The luminescent pictures in the night
That of the city's vast and vivid sheen
Was wrapped in dark then bathed in gentle light.
I wish you could have seen what I have seen:
Flowers as new and beautiful as art,
And art that lines walls of every scene
Make every street unique in it's own part.
I wish you could have wondered with me then;
Maybe one day, when we are young again.
