My sorrow is blue
Jus' as my morrow I rue
When I say I'm tired, it's true
To all the time explain my view
Who cares? Only but a few
They speak as though my thoughts they already know
Words so puerile and sallow
Trying to overthrow my faith in Jesus, you know
Temptation I see and temptation I know
As I listen to the voice of the clouds and watch the rivers flow.
I'm happy in my sadness
In all, Jesus is my happiness
And that my morrow is settled is obvious
No pain no sorrow for the pious
The blood at the Cross makes them righteous.
