Mediate Poem by D.N. Rebb

Mediate

When compromise turns into animosity
Blind resentment then locks the door
Yet old-fashioned envy easily understands
About uneven tallied scores

Plots then written by two separate quills
As the unquenchable fire continues to grow
The smoke of knowledge hunts clear vision
And reminds us of how righteous things were ago

Selfless devotion, a mutual agreement
Wrong paths challenge surefooted steps
Even muddy water offers some reflection
As we all know what to do next

Empathize, sympathize, communicate
Confide, forgive and just appreciate
Anyone can miscalculate
The power of love alone,
Mediates
