Meesha Poem by Bonnie Collins

Meesha

Rating: 5.0

Slumbr time is it? You are nestled so
comfortably in the middle of my lap, as
your wiskers are jerking away in dream
land of mice and birds

As you seem to try to strech reaching
another foot or so it seems, your little
warm body has now taken hostage of
me, Dare I move only to have you give
me a look as if to say DO YOU MIND?

But I won't do that, as I have to admitt
I enjoy holding and cuddling with you
but then again, you have granted me
the pleasure haven't you?

For Meesha the 'other lady' in our house..

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Being a cat person I love little Meesha already. My daughter has a cat called Meesha too. 'whiskers jerking away in a land of mice and birds' is so aptly described. And taking hostage, they sure do Bonnie and we do love every minute of it. I love this one.....10 Karin Anderson

What a sweet, homely picture you paint here Bonnie. Lovely poem as usual. Well done. Best wishes, Andrew x
