Mellow Birth Magic Poem by Diana van den Berg

Mellow Birth Magic

You listened to my soul
and wrote a bird song
and sang it in the wind
and a flower was born;
you whispered it in my ear
and caged animals ran free;
you hummed it in the dark night
and the sun rose laughing
as on the first day
of you and me.
