Melting Heart Poem by Fiona Davidson

Melting Heart

With each new day you touch my heart
A little deeper now beneath the scars
I can feel your movements so softly sweet
Tenderness always in your gentle eyes
Fingertips stroke skin so long covered
With frost of tears left unmelted by sun
Warmth takes its place slow and easy
With every smile you throw my way
Hand held so tightly in yours I step
Into the next chapter of my life returned
Your gentleness eases my reluctance
Once again passion visits my spirit
Desire leading her over the map of you
Beneath your hands I will soar again
Wings furled close around your body
As we fly the heavens on our love
