Memorial Day/Veteran's Day
.....MEMORIAL DAY
.....at the cemetery
counting the shadows
........Veteran's Day
the sun laying shadows
.........row after row
...........Veteran's Day
rummaging through his desk
...rust smudging my fingers
Counting the shadows....what a painfully beautiful expression for numbering the gravestones. I really like this one...a keeper for me, and a ten too!
