Memories For Tomorrow. Poem by anju addanki

Memories For Tomorrow.

I stand at my door,
And watch the sunset,
Its last orange rays,
Bring a flash of glory,
Announcing the end of another day,
Birds twitter as they swiftly wing their way to their nests,
And the shrill voices of children at play,
Die down as other skill voices call them home.

Dusk falls and that sad time,
Between the days death and the night's arrival begins,
My heart swoops like a bird,
And a silence envolpes it,
A calm, healing silence,
As the clamour of of the day,
Is stilled within me.

The day dies,
But mine is just beginiing for you,
Are wending your tired way,
Home to me,
And your next hours,
Will be mine,
As I store up memories,
For Tommorow.
