Memories In Pangasinan Poem by Krysten Palen

Memories In Pangasinan

At 4: 30 dawn, the sky still dim,
With Mama and Papa, I journey with them.
A bus to Pangasinan, five hours away,
To meet my dear aunt and brighten the day.

It's my first commute with parents so near,
In Luzon's embrace, the moment sincere.
I treasure this time, for one day I know,
Such moments will fade, like rivers that flow.

We walked by the shoreline, the waves sang their song,
Bought fish for our breakfast, the day moved along.
We climbed up the mountain, an hour of grace,
Then sang in karaoke, pure joy in that place.

Though fleeting the trip, my heart's filled with cheer,
Memories etched deep, forever held dear.
For happiness lives not in riches or fame,
But in love and in moments, too precious to name.
