Memory Poem by Eric Cockrell

Memory

Rating: 5.0

i dont like the feeling,
the touch, the smell, or
the taste of
'you dont love me, but'

i keep grasping shadows
that leave empty burns
on my fingertips
drinking from an empty cup

waiting on the light,
darkness, or a falling star.
memory is a vengeful lover!
