Memory-Pain

Memory-Pain
Wednesday,22nd July 2020

an old memory gives pain
the heartaches and remains
pain-stricken with grief
this doesn't remain for a brief

I left remembering,
how many members preferred departing?
it has become now routine
all were gone to attain the divine seat

I was motherless since childhood
and each word was understood
people from the neighborhood came and helped
but life went on non-stop

father did not lose hope
and preferred to walk on a tight rope
I was now her concern
he accepted the challenge and tried to turn the fate

after his departure
I was left with an unsure journey
he had stood by me like rock
enough of energy was in his stock

I never felt unsafe under his cover
I too followed his ideals later
today he is not among us
but has filled the life with trust and confidence
