Memory To Matter Poem by Ima Ryma

Memory To Matter

Melvin wirh Alzheimers cannot
Remember time and place too good,
But one fact he has not forgot,
That ev'ry Mother's Day he would
Give flowers to Doris, his wife.
So on that mission he did go,
As he had done most of his life.
He got lost but was found, and so
His finders took him to the store
To get the flowers to take back
To Doris, waiting at the door,
Where arms did hug and lips did smack.

Whatever's missing from one's mind,
Look into one's heart for to find.
