Men talk of love but don’t understand
that the heart of a woman is in command
of all that love is about.
She believes without a single doubt
that man cannot comprehend
how the love of a woman does not end.
She wraps her feeling into the pit of her soul.
She refuses to remember how it takes its toll.
She forgives the man whose thoughts may wander.
For forgiveness is never way beyond her.
Men talk of love and when they do
women wonder if their words are true?
And so the two complement each other
and swear their love to one another.
Which one’s not fickle and will never change?
The woman, of course, and men find that strange.
