Mental Eclipse Poem by Rob Lamberton

Mental Eclipse

Rating: 5.0

What you think matters
Though you may think it matters not
Others thoughts are offers
That you went ahead and bought
Perhaps within your mind you reasoned
Perhaps you reasoned not
Is what you believe even seasoned
With something you have thought
With all the knowing that you have
Have you known at all
If all the knowledge that you had
Was someone else's call
There is within the mind of men
Things that are not true
History is filled with them
The follies not a few
There is a Source of Truth
On what you can depend
Do not believe that it's uncouth
To think, it matters all on Him

A poem of great depth, wonderful, meaningful and full of wisdom. We are endowed with great attributes to know what is true and false. We have a heart, mind, knowledge and wisdom to recognize truth and above all, there is a Source of Truth, The One Above.

An extremely beautiful poem with great philosophical depth! Very often we are unaware that our perception is influenced by some other's perception which may not be true. It is important to rise above the false and see the truth and it matters a lot for you as well as others.

My, my, my! Well written--so very brilliantly composed! I absolutely love poem: let us seek to set our minds on God's Truths that our thought might be both original and seasoned by what is True and Beautiful! Thank you for sharing this again!
