Merciful Poem by Ima Ryma

Merciful

A young girl I remembered of
Home where Mother and Father gave
All of us children so much love.
These are memories that I save.
But came a horrible time when
Our home was invaded by
A group of evil, hating men.
And all my family did die
Except for me who these men made
Sit watching while these men did kill
My loved ones, but there came a shade
Over my eyes by mercy's will.

The hands of much grown older me
Cover my eyes so I don't see.
