Mercy On Mankind Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

We pray and ask for mercy on mankind
But let us also be considerate and kind
It is not disfavor from the almighty as such
We have created position for us as much

Not a single corner we have spared
Blockage of river water stopped and dared
Complete earth bottom is vacuumed
Whole of natural source is consumed

Air too is polluted and difficult to inhale
Complete atmosphere is unhealthy and stale
Yet almighty is kind and merciful
Only we need to be friendly and faithful

To be a friend of nature is only answer
This may be understood only by fewer
Yet the answer is found and lies within us
Beware of duties and try to trust

Nothing may go against us even if disaster
We must gather the strength and muster
He is guardian of universe and master
We must understand and move faster
