The sexiest robot of all time.
Brilliantly directed by Fritz Lang,
A true visionary in his prime.

A robot created by Rotwang,
Said movie's mad inventor.
It's story packs a punch,
High morals at its centre.

A machine in human form,
In the guise of a teacher.
With revolt in its teachings,
Within this metallic creature.

That Star Wars golden droid,
We all know as C 3 P O.
Is based on False Maria,
The star of Metropolis's show.

She's scattered to the winds,
Lost in a warehouse blaze.
But her cinematic iconic image,
Indelibly lives on always.

'Let the machines starve, you fools! '
