Midnight Jewel Poem by Liane Carlo Suelan

Midnight Jewel

Rating: 5.0

I lay under the midnight sky,
Her jewels illuminating the night.
Her colossal pearl catches my eye
As I strive to regain my sight;
For I have slept 'neath the heaven's sea
Where untouchable treasures lay,
Remembering the time when you left me
Like breeze on a Summer's day.

How long has it been since the last melody
Of our joy and laughter played?
Can you still recall a memory
When we braved what life forbade?
Can you still recall the chivalrous plight
I kept long as the eagles fly?
For I recall and lose my might
For I cannot help but cry.

Instead as I lay on yonder hill
I am drowning in tears of rue,
Waiting for the distant sky to spill
And catch her jewel - you.
