Midnight Writer Poem by Lauren Coles

Midnight Writer

Rating: 4.0

I'm not the kind of rider who takes care of horses,
I'm a writer who takes her powers and tries to make the magic come alive.
Coming up with characters can be a struggle,
You don't want to repeat the same plots,
That would be a waste of money,
The same plot,
I wish I could be a reader,
When I go to bed the clock keeps ticking,
I need to learn to let my brain sleep,
Time to deflect my thoughts from the word pools,
Because at midnight a new day begins with a clean slate.

I feel it. Writing mostly in the night when everywhere is calm and you are done for the day. Beautiful poem
