Midsummer Mayhem - Headlines 1 - Poem by Danny Draper

The sun burnt down,
… fire brigade never even called.
Neutrinos passed through Earth,
… didn't call in to visit parents.
Coronal mass ejection,
… tough love for star.
Mad dogs and Englishmen,
… played snooker in a bar.
Pugs clear winners by 3 frames,
… played it cool.
Skimpy swimmers in a lake,
…hot dam!
Sun bathers burnt to a crisp,
… finished off over a few beers.
Boiling day maiden hell,
… knights frigid.
Opposition calls for enquiry,
… people call for ice cream.
Government leaks boil over,
… Minister suspects snow peas.
Air conditioner sales sky rocket,
… shampoo sales steady.
Man seeks comfort in tepid bath,
… cold shower rejected.
Man rampages with Dave's Syndrome,
… potential universal infection.
Sunscreen takes up arms,
… solar cells implicated.
Hats off to skin protection,
… ambiguous health warning.

Naughty neutrinos- they're unbelievably unsociable. Great collection of witticisms! (Report) Reply
