Mind And Intellect Taking Mini Vacations Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Listening to an Asian song, its rhythms penetrating and
intense, mind loving its sounds and rhythms being heard,

Taking mind and intellect on mini vacations throughout
the day and night, enjoying the peace each melodic rhythm
brings about.

Intellect launching thoughts, ideas, and concepts into
this brain and interior life of spirituality, sensing
another way of life.

One beneath this exterior form, finding out what its a-
bout is exciting, thrilling this mere poet at many times
during waking hours.

Without these God-given gifts, graces and curiosity,
where would this poet be? Wondering at times about that,
knowing how boring it would be.

This mind needs to be stimulated simultaneously by musi-
cal rhythms and writing at the same time, one poem after
another being written daily.
