A flower with a drawn face no'ne has seen,
Nor yet a bird seen singing a sad tune,
No tree seems too troubled for loss of green,
A dolphin too depressed in months of June,
A reindeer delving on his self-esteem,
A polar bear that can't take it easy,
A wild cat too vexed, nor yet looking grim;
They live life just as it unfolds to be.
Why, seen I've cats practising peaceful Zen,
Ducks meditating while floating at ease;
One beast with too much mind is only man
Who, never once at peace seems whatso is,
If mind is it why he's on top of hill,
Mind maketh all mischief, mind his devil.

All the living beings, excepting human beings, take life in it's stride and lead lives full of ease and tranquility and it is an universal phenomenon. Man the so called most superior animal on account of intellect and thinking capacity bestowed on him, is penalized by making his mind a devils workshop. Liked the genesis. Thanks for sharing. Pl read my poem " Nature and Environment" that deals with similar aspect of human psyche.
I agree. And still mind is a great asset. But man perhaps has too much mind.

I would like to translate this poem
One beast with too much mind is only man Who, never once at peace seems whatso is, If mind is it why he's on top of hill, Mind maketh all mischief, mind his devil.....so touching and true. Man is the superior of all animals as well he has greedy and devil mind and for this he can't get peace. A beautiful poem is aptly delineated.10
