Mirage Poem by Richard Blay

Mirage

Rating: 4.5

Mirage, mighty men have fallen for the pursuit of your beauty
Induce me not to hope for you, for I've no such hope. If you wish, then,
Renege on the oath of your father, O angelic daughter of the Devil
And we shall be real for each, not madness of the eyes.
Gallop yourself towards me, for I approach with thirsty lust.
Emanate yourself when I'm near, for my bare throat seeks to wet.

A poem that depicts vain glorification of beauty and its consequences. A nice poem written with insight. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem THE PHOENIX STRANGLER.
