Mis(Spelled) Names Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

We have system of misspelling deliberately
It is prevailing all over India already
Not only names, but casts too are misspelled
Just to express joke or for outraging the level

Sometimes it is used shortly as “nick name “
You have name which means “good symbol” to claim
Bengali* names give mouth full test
With literary meaning and if spelled from chest

Each region has its own tradition
People follow custom and language pattern
But one this is certain from love and affection angle
Some of the names are spelled with less trouble

It may be inappropriate if I present cast utterances
It may be still if I put sarcastically spelled names
But generally speaking people try to be friendly
And show kindness by uttering it even wrongly

Love thee name and hold the symbol
Smile gently and respond the call
“What is there in name”? Even if misspelled
The spirit and love behind it is positively stayed
