Missed Appointment - Poem by Dónall Dempsey

They’ve left off Mr. Amilburu’s
surname again.

The screen
flashing up

only his Christian name.

Mr. Jesus.

It flashes again
with a beep

but Jesus
doesn’t come.

Another missed
appointment.
