Moaning Poem by David Harris

Moaning

I often hear children moaning
about the things they don’t have,
never thinking once about those
who haven’t and never will have a lot.

Those who have the least,
not having anything
maybe happier than those
who have everything in the world.

If you have your health
and a little food on the table,
you are wealthier than some.
For there is a lot who haven’t got those.

You may never be rich
with money and fame,
but if you are alive, not starving
you are just as rich as any of them.

Take everyday as a miracle
you have been granted.
Do not waste it by moaning,
just live it and enjoy.
