Mocking Myself Poem by David Harris

Mocking Myself

Rating: 2.8

I love to mock myself
and do it all the time.
I like to tell people that I’m mean
when it should be kind.
I like to say I’m ugly,
but no one believes me.
I like to degrade whatever I do,
but others don’t like that too.
The problem is you see,
is my self-esteem.
I haven’t got one,
if you know what I mean.
I don’t feel important,
that no one would feel my loss.
(Except for my wife of course)
So if you see me mocking myself
and I do it all the time,
don’t worry about me,
because it is just the way I feel,
about myself all the time.
I know people who can feel content
with the lives they lead,
but if they led mine
they would find no contentment there.

Oh but you are so wrong that no one would want to be in your shoes....you have 'Two Best Friends'...two more than many can say they have...and you have many more that would miss you
