To Dear Mom
The year was 1915,
In Guantung Province, China
In a Toi Shan village
In the Wong family was born a girl baby.
Into the next village Yue family,
My Mom finally married.
Dad studied in Hong Kong at the YMCA
Secondary School up to Form 3;
When the Japanese came, his studies stalled.
After the war, the young family
Moved to lived at 169 Wan Chai Road
Where the ten children grew up quite happily.
They're Chi Hay, Lok, Wo, Ping, Keung, Hing, Sing, Kin
And the two daughters, May Yin Liz and May Yun Becky.
With her ten kids in tow,
Her led us all on a straight path.
Pleasant, gentle, extra hard working indeed,
Mom was generous to others in need.
Of Jesus Christ, a faithful follower Mom became soon,
We attended the Baptist Church at Tsimshatsui, Kowloon.
My Dad served as a deacon:
There were Bible readings, hymn singing.
Life was not at all easy
But we merrily carried on striving.
At Paterson Street Mom and Dad lived for a long time even;
Widowed in later life, she moved to Waterloo Hill.
She wasn't alone in this world, though a transient still.
In Hong Kong in the winter of 2021,
Mom returned home to the Father and the Son,
Having lived a long life of 107.
Mom had grandchildren eleven,
And great-grandchildren five.
Her twin sons, Hing and Sing,
Both bi-vocational ministers fine,
Did evangelizing and related work in the U.S.
May Mom's soul rest in peace in Heaven.
BE HAPPY YOUR MOM WAS SO KIND 11 CHILDREN AND SO MANY GCS WOW HOW PROSPEROUS HER FAILY LIVED LONG TIME 107 MADE HERSELF AVAILABLE TO ALL FOR A MEMORABLE TYME
