Moments Play A Part And Depart
(Khayyam Hashmi, the legendary composure of classical music, rich in melody and poetry, and recipient of Padma Bhushan, died at 93— 1927-2019. This is a tribute— a translation of a song's lines he composed for the film, Kabhie, kabhie.)
That was an episode of one moment,
Me too a story of but one moment,
By the morrow shall fall apart,
That today with you share a part.
