Mona Lisa Poem by Leslie Ching

Mona Lisa

Real? Of course.
Only as genuine as the Mona Lisa.
Life as she knows it
Is as real as it gets.
Supportive family and caring friends.
Things at school are going alright,
Even if it has its highs and lows.
When her friends are around,
She lets her true feelings show
Cause she knows she's in good hands.

Fake? You decide.
In the shadowy depths of her life,
Her mind,
Her past,
Is there an outlier?
A puzzler?
A missing link?
It's only as mysterious as the Mona Lisa's smile.

Fake? Maybe so- behind the supportive family and friends, who is SHE? A manipulative person who uses people? Or she appears to be happy but behind the mask she's confiding in no one but herself. It really leaves you thinking. You never know.
