Monotony (Sonnet) Poem by Mihaela Pirjol

Monotony (Sonnet)

Rating: 5.0

Now, without love, she can no longer soar:
What in monotony is to explore?
She stares in nothingness: —that is what's left
Of all the love she whole-heartedly felt!
In emptiness, —not even tears to cry!
And so it goes, she, staring at the sky
Each day and night in a mood depressive,
Thinks life's meaningless and non-impressive;
But by luck, by chance, or a twist of mind,
Her heart may rejoice, and think life is kind:
A morning dawn—is a new beginning!
A glance, a smile—around she is spinning!
And here is the Hope which blooms in her heart
A promise, a vision, a brand-new start!

It is a marvelous poem on hope, love and life having haunting expression and nice collocation. The penmanship is nice too. Tfs.10
