Monsters From The Id Poem by Susan Birch

Monsters From The Id

Rating: 5.0

Creator of the Universe
Did you dream us?
Are we a figment of your infinite vision,
Or are we at odds with your intent?
We are too random to be a curse
Or a libation for the gods.
Are we heaven sent
Or hell bent on Hell?
How can I tell
If I am a small particle,
A cosmic wraith
Or a rare article of faith?
Am I a stray thought,
A dream wrought
Within a galactic mind?
If you wake, will I fade
Or remain hidden in shade,
Trapped like a careless thief
Within the shadows of belief?

Great poem, catchy title. I remember the movie with the monsters of the id. I invite you to read my poem Big Bang Creation and others. I vote 10 points on this one.
