Out there, somewhere, there are others.
Survivors like me. Will we, one day, see
A return to sanity?
The world was bought and sold long ago
And some of us saw it coming, but what use now
'I told you so'?
Some saw an ending that could not be accepted.
They are gone now. They opted out.
Defected.
Some saw, not an end, but an undeserved fresh start,
A second chance, but we must take this warning
Nurtured in the heart.
We have left an ugliness upon our Earth,
But she will take care of that. She and Time
Will give birth.
She will reclaim herself, heal and renew
And we must remember, we survivors,
We few.
We must find the balance we lost long ago.
Find the harmony, find the empathy
And learn how to grow.
