Moonlight Sonata Poem by RAJ NANDY

Moonlight Sonata

MOONLIGHT SONATA

The flood gates of our full moon have opened
wide,
Look at those golden beams cascading down!
Its magic and mystical light fills the sky,
And envelopes the earth without a sound!
The night flowers bloom and waft their
perfume;
Chakor-the night bird, sings its song of
yearning, and unrequited love!
For the full moon with its Midas touch,
Has transformed everything into gold!

Our lips pick-up this wondrous song,
As we dance going round and round,
Like the Darvish in ecstasy and express,
All the joy and exuberance of life,
Celebrating His eternal love!

With our passing the song dose not cease;
For the tune is picked-up once more,
By our children, as we did from our forefathers
of yore!
And so we continue to sing His praise,
For now and for evermore!
Praising this God-gifted life,
Intoxicated with His eternal love!
