More Effective And Less Offensive Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

More Effective And Less Offensive

Does the truth to hear it,
Become more effective...
When coming out of the mouths,
Of today's outspoken youth.

Is the truth less offensive,
When confronted by those...
Who have chosen not to sit on fences.
Unconcerned about impressions to make.
Or false pretensions to present.

Deluded adults,
Have created heated conflicts and divisions.
Holding onto age old tensions.
Bought and sold from lies told to tell.
And the children raised on hypocrisy know this.
Discovering for themselves everyday,
Who is behind...
The minds attempting to confine them,
To lives based upon lies, deceit and corruption.
