We lay beside each other
On our bed, looking at each other,
heads on pillows.
Like downy pink clouds at sunset hovering
mirroring the hope from below
us together, being.
Looking, just floating and reflecting the glow,
of our centers, our core.
Slightly above the wrinkled sheets, the stacked twigs of our nest.
As offspring jostle for supremacy, in the moment, out of growth.
The kettle whistles on the stove,
a warning of the festivities about to transpire.
Inside this tower, where we have chosen our days
Decided our dedicated direction
Come one, come all!
Under the glow of streetlights and through alleyways,
we've searched.
The scribed eyes on our fingers,
watching us, our movement through time,
as we look for more.
Trying to communicate something
to the other
our united intention,
more love.
