Oh the beautiful snow white sand
is now under attack.
It lay pristine and smoothly clean.
When will it e'er come back?
Tar balls in clumps and oil that's slick
has descended upon the shore
and the stark affront to this beauty
takes away how it was before.
The smell of oil is in the air.
The toxicity makes us sick.
All of this happened so suddenly.
Is this one of nature's tricks?
I hardly think that that's the case.
It is much more sinister than that.
The stupidity of man and consuming greed
is exactly where we're at.
The deep sea water that teems with life
is choking to its death.
And above the waters in the Gulf
humanity takes a breath.
Chemical dispersants and methane gas
are what they're taking in.
The powers that be have allowed this.
It's what you call mortal sin.
It's murder.
