Mortgaged Poem by Patti Masterman

Mortgaged

What will I remember,
What will I forget?
Days and days of promises,
Nights full of regret.

How to pay the lender
When the note is due;
Knowing not the mortgage-
Or when the term is through?

Memory is a precious gift and losing the memory, but not the feelings can leave one in a panic.
