Moth And Flame Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Moth And Flame

Flying to the flame
Attracted by the sight
Instinctively you came
Scorched in flight

You have paid dearly
Flopping and failing
Burned severely
A whirl of smoke is trailing

Passage is extinguished
At a moment of delight
Life is relinquished
Swallowed by the night
