Mother Tongue Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Mother Tongue

Rating: 5.0

Mother Tongue,

Right from the womb;

Before birth,

The mother!

Mother and child,

Giving birth,

And to train the child.

Mother Tongue,

Training up the child;

First thing in life,

Able to speak,

Mother Tongue! !

Much needed in life,

Growing up,

Along the muse of the words,

Learnt from the Mother.

The language our mother spoke to us is always the dearest and closest to our heart. No language is better understood than our Mother Tongue.
