the foothills of the Southern Alps
near my hometown are blue hills rising
like ramparts so few see the blue
clearly visible on clear light days
living in city lives diminished worlds
are ant colony rush busy workers
from high altitude aircraft heights
from a plane gaze down upon the blue
mountain ranges mist water waves
who sees mountains ranges like waves of water?
