Mountains Are Calling Poem by Passive Indian

Mountains Are Calling

Rating: 5.0

When every day is one routine
When oneself is just machine
When daily life is just plain salt
And every night is old cuisine

You feel you are dying inside
And no one's there by your side
You know its time to break free
So just get up and take that ride

Ride if the sun is out
Ride if the rain is falling
Ride if its chilly outside
Ride coz mountains are calling

Forget the backpack,
Forget the time and day
Catch the first wheel around
And hit the highway

Your body your mind and the soul inside
Your excitement needs not to hide
All they need is a overhauling,
Get up and leave, ..mountains are calling

Running for targets and that excelsheet
Just trying so hard to make ends meet
Is this what life's all about
Just be or sleep or drink or eat

There's much more, plenty of it
Your regular life can wait a bit
Take a break, spare self mauling
Just get up and leave..mountains are calling

If thin pure air is your thing
More natural and less of bling
It doesn't matter, driving aur crawling
Just get up and leave... Mountains are calling

If you have got your own lot
Some of them sufi some on pot
It just makes a lot more sense
To take along your bestest friends

That lazy life no one's in a hurry
You won't even care if dry or curry
When you taste that chill in the air
And that walk at night with all your flair

The droplets on your face so true and pure
You fall in love with nature for sure
Those slippery narrow lanes that never tire
And welcome the night with a bon fire

Those chatty sessions in the middle of the night
Some filled with laughter some filled of fright
Repeating memories that thousandth time
Still laughing as if it was the newest crime

Just walking aimlessly on that slope
Looking at the peak with all the hope
Crossing forests with so much zest
Not reaching but traveling is the real fest

Green and beautiful wherever you see
In every direction you want to flee
Live in a cottage or under a tree
The mist of the mountains is the place to be

The serpent roads are the best track
To come out of the boring life hack
Climb the hills to meet yourself
Find yourself and never go back

Warm people and hot food
Always in that party mood
This is the place where you live
Just the way like you should

Get over the office and the meetings
The fake smiles and faker greetings
Get over from all those boss's trolling
Get up and leave.... Mountains are calling

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The best way of destressing is to travel. What better than the beautiful mountains. Unwind yourself in the hills and live to the fullest.

Indeed the merry-go-round lifestyle can be suffocating sometimes, the tested remedy for such depressing environment is a change of scene. A well articulated piece of poetry, insightfully penned in lovely rhyme scheme with conviction. Thanks for sharing dear poet. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
