Move Forward Poem by Prem Nizar Hameed

Some people think and think
over the bygone opportunities in the past
and the incoming sufferings in the future;
such thoughts are unproductive
it is a futile effort, like making
a fried chicken brood on the boiled eggs!
We have to move forward with optimism

ചിലർക്ക്,
ചിന്തയോടെ ചിന്ത തന്നെ
കഴിഞ്ഞു പോയ അവസരങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചും
വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന ദുരിതങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചും;
അവയെല്ലാം ഉത്പാദനക്ഷമതയില്ലാത്ത ചിന്തകളാണ്.
പുഴുങ്ങിയ മുട്ടകളുടെ പുറത്ത്
പൊരിച്ച കോഴിയെ അടയിരുത്തുന്നത് പോലെ
അതൊരു തരം പാഴ് വേലയാണ്;
ശുഭാപ്തി വിശ്വാസം കൈവിടാതെ മുന്നോട്ട് പോകുക
