Mr. Manson (Paranoid Schizophrenic With Delusions) On Cocaine Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

Mr. Manson (Paranoid Schizophrenic With Delusions) On Cocaine

Rating: 5.0

His veiled threats became clear to the world
As he visited many hippie halls
His paranoia ruled his every thought
While his delusions of grandeur cast a pall...
He idolized so much evil
With anger his battle call
Alas, realization of his wicked mind
His illness - the most dangerous of them all.

With a tinge of psychopathy (on the side)
...That rendered him more than insane
A master manipulator of all his followers
.....A total darkness filled his brain.

I passed this poem by a few times because of its title but today I just had to go see what you'd done with such a devil-ridden person. Theo, you did well with this topic! You painted the darkness that he lived in and fed off of. I have never understood how he gained control over so many other minds and souls... except through drugs, drugs, and more drugs. Sharon Tate graduated from our high school years before I did but what happened to her rocked this town badly. I'm glad you take on the hard topics- you are very able to handle them.

Edmund, i am absolutely honored by your words. Yes, have a keen interest into all avenues of mental health/illness. Charles seemed to have so much going on. Believe the drugs only made him worse, if that is possible. He truly believed he was the Messiah(delusion of grandeur) ...but he also loved the act of serial killing(psychopathy) and the power he had over his followers. He was and is one of the most dangerous human beings living. This is not my first dig into the mind of the seriously mentally ill. Have researched Ted Bundy, Gary Ridgeway, BTK, Eileen Wuernos(sp) ...all suffer from the Personality Disorder(Anti-Social Personality) They are cold, unfeeling people who are unable to feel anything for anyone.KNow the difference from right and wrong but do not care. Have also researched the Zodiac Killer. Until i started really researching i had no idea how common - the personality disorders were...or how Paranoid Schizophrenia is the most dangerous of mental illness. The institutions are full of them but many walk our streets free. Most are treated with medication and psychotherapy- but even this form of treatment has it's limitations. You are right about Manson, though, as he is a mess of all of the above and to put just one or two labels on him would not cover him. Thank you again for taking the time to read this. You are so very much appreciated by me.

I like how you refer to Mr. Manson with a tinge of psychopathy (on the side) . The poem reminds me of his twisted intelligence, the strange mental soup that was his mind. Drugs, paranoia and delusions of grandeur. We may read of Manson and peek into the psychology books but I think that terrain gets murky at best when you visit the hippie halls and get on the crazy magic bus with Charlie at the wheel. Such a unique writing Theodora. I absolutely enjoyed it. This tale of the master manipulator....
