Muddled Poem by Nithya Balachandran

Muddled

She said, 'look at that stray dog,
Isn't he sweet and cute'! !
But it bites us, I said
'It is out of love, you fool', said she.

Muddled, I turned my head.
Saw a beggar woman, looking tired
Sitting under the scorching sun
With a baby in her hands, !
On the opposite side of the street

I looked at the baby in her hands
And then at the dog, many times
To find, 'who is more cute'!
