Multiple Choice Test Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Multiple Choice Test

Good morning students.
I know this comes,
As a surprise for all of you.
But, I decided today,
To give a multiple choice test.
This test,
Is already on your desks.
And I will assist you,
As best as I can.
I will read with you the test.
And let you come up,
With the answer most logical.
Okay?
Here goes:
MANY WILL DISBELIEVE,
THE TRUTH TO ACCEPT.
AND REFUSE IT BECAUSE,
A. People are not accustomed,
To hear it. And fear it.
B. Many fear what is true.
And refuse to believe it.
C. Truth to believe,
For many is too painful to hear.
D. All of the above.

'Teach? '

Yes.

'This test is too hard.
You said it would be,
A multiple choice test.
But only 'D' is obviously,
The only that is different...
From the other ones.'

You are right!
Well...
Go ahead.
Pick 'D'.

'And have you believe,
I am that stupid? !
No way.'
