Musings - Consultation Poem by Paul Warren

Musings - Consultation

Why is it when politicians are thinking of the dollar
And wanting to do something perceived unpopular
They go into a mode that calls for playing a charade
And want their decisions into the distance to fade
They have a great notion and go straight to the nation
You see you can talk to the people and feign consultation
Even in the end if the result may be morally the wrong one
When it comes to take stock politicians are out of the gun.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Don't you get sick of politicians who feign consultation and then do exactly what they want to do anyway. It suppose to be a proper process but only stretches the decision out so it looks like it is a well thought out plan.

Very few decent politicians. We should clear out most.... Maybe The Australians of The Year could have ago. I do love Rosie Batty. So many other people doing such great work such as Denise and Bruce Morcombe. I like all those from The Project too. Oh.... Prince Phillip Sorry to be so opinionated. I just read Douglas's about The Prime Minister. If you get in the door Paul I will vote for you!
