Muted Grey Poem by Diana van den Berg

Muted Grey

Nights linger longer
wide-skyed, slow-eyed,
shadows dancing
to the butterfly beat
of sigh-soft whispers
in the wake
of a woodnymph
fading into
the slow grace
of her death-dance
in winter cold.
